About FestivalPlot

FestivalPlot is a free, browser-based tool for working out how vehicles, tents, canopies and RVs fit into a campsite of a known size, before you get there.

Why it exists

Festival and campground sites are often a fixed rectangle, and the questions are always similar: will the truck and two canopies fit, which way should the trailer face, is there room to walk between the tents? Graph paper works, but it’s slow to change and hard to share. FestivalPlot keeps everything to scale, updates instantly, and lets a group share one plan.

How it works

• Everything runs in your browser. There is no account and no server-side layout storage.
• Layouts are saved in your browser’s local storage on your device. You can delete them at any time.
• Share links carry the layout inside the link itself.
• Overlap checks use rotated-rectangle geometry, and overhead cover (canopies, awnings) is treated differently from solid footprints.

What it is not

FestivalPlot is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any festival, campground, vehicle maker or equipment brand. Example layouts and starter sizes are illustrations, not official dimensions or specifications. A plan made here is not permission to camp in any particular way. See the terms and disclaimer.
